Apple's iPhone 17 introduces Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE), a hardware-level security feature designed to safeguard high-risk users, including cryptocurrency holders. Enabled by default, MIE works alongside EMTE for real-time validation, blocking zero-day exploits and reducing side-channel vulnerabilities. This advancement addresses memory safety bugs, which account for approximately 70% of software flaws, offering enhanced protection for crypto wallet transactions and Passkeys without requiring user configuration.

The integration of MIE marks a significant step forward in mobile security, particularly for the crypto community. By mitigating common attack vectors like out-of-bounds and use-after-free exploits, Apple's latest innovation strengthens the defense mechanisms for digital asset storage and transactions on mobile devices.
